Rated 1 out of 5 by TexasTar from Poor features for a coffee maker The items that we found to be problems with this coffee maker are: 1. Water Cup markings are only on the left side of the carafe. 2. The display is only visible if you use a flashlight to look at the readings. 3. There is no positive feedback from the settings i.e. strong or auto. 4. The Duralife glass carafe shattered in a thousand pieces when dropped less than 8 inches. 5. The cost of the replacement carafe will be 66% of the original cost of the coffee maker. What does this say about the quality of the rest of the coffee maker? Of course I can always buy a comparable coffee maker for the price of the Duralife Carafe.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bootoyou from Waste of money & time!! I bought this coffee maker thinking it had great features & was a good price. I brewed 1 pot, ONE, & that was it! It would no longer work. I went to brew another pot the 2nd day I had it, came back 30mins later & nothing. I'm beyond disappointed. I don't have a lot of time to deal w issues like this as I have a very busy life. Now I have to return it to the store & take more time to find a better, more efficient, reliable coffee maker. It seems from the reviews, this maker isn't worth the headache. I should've done my homework. I'm not sure I'll be buying another B & D product ever again. Very disappointed.

Very frustrating! This is our 2nd black+decker in 2 months won't be getting a new one we'll buy a differen Brand!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Steph Joy from Clock runs fast Just bought this a week ago, due to my old Black and Decker not being able to keep time correctly after about 8 years. Well, this New one can't keep time right out of the box. Clock constantly runs fast, one day ok, next day fast by 6 hours. Return, would love to, but hubby said we are fine, good product, he threw the box. But oh well, it brews coffee, just have to manually start it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by LuvMyJava from What a mess! This coffee maker is very messy. The Sneak-A-Cup feature doesn't work and constantly leaks coffee on the burner. Try to catch it with a paper towel and you get burned. When you lift the lid, there is so much water on the top, and it drips down the back of the coffee maker and all over the counter. I'm sorry I've purchased this product, it is a hassle. I'm so frustrated with it I had to post this. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Further, I have begun to hear cracking sounds in the handle of the carafe when I fill it with water. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before it breaks. Extremely disappointed in this purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by ldp33 from 1-4 Cup option broken in 2 days I bought this coffee maker a few days ago, I usually make coffee for myself so I make 4 cups and I like that this had a 1-4 cup option. The first day I used it I followed the directions, hit the button twice and the 1-4 option popped up on the screen to tell me it was on. The second day, I did the same thing and the 1-4 button is no longer working, I hit it multiple times and waited and tried again, it simply does nothing now, this button is also the button used to make a strong cup of coffee... broken on day 2. I'm very disappointed with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bayleaf from It makes a great cup of coffee This is my 3rd Black and Decker coffee maker (water comes from a well) in the last 9 years. They have all made a great cup of coffee. I tried another brand before I bought the 3rd one because of the reviews that the other brand was receiving. It didn't compare to the Black and Decker. I returned it and bought my 3rd coffee maker. The control buttons work especially the cleaning mode. The clock is very accurate and keeps the correct time. Only complaint is the 1st two makers had a water filter included and this one doesn't. Surely a couple of filters and a holder couldn't add that much more to the cost.
